Since Year 1950, when the Rebbe assumed the leadership of the Chabad-Lubavitch Chasidic movement – the Rebbe addressed the crowd frequently on Saturdays, Jewish Holidays and other occasions.

The Rebbe addressed the crowd in Yiddish, and his Torah-talks (Sichot) were also recorded and published mostly in that language.

Lahak Hanochos was established in 1981, with the goal of translating and publishing all the Rebbe's talks in Hebrew.

Between the years 1981-1992, Lahak Hanochos published 43 volumes of the Rebbe's talks in Hebrew, including all the talks of that period.

After the passing of the Rebbe in 1994 – Lahak Hanochos has continued the effort with great dilligence, to tranalste and publish the Rebbe's talks of the remaining years - 1950-1981.

As of today – 34 volumes were already published, including the talks of the Rebbe up to 1962.

Lahak Hanochos also publishes a weekly booklet of the talks that are being edited and translated at that time, usually – on topics that have a connection with that particular week in the Jewish calendar.

These publications augment the other official books that contain the Rebbe's teachings:

29 volumes of Letters written by the Rebbe between the years 1925-1973. [The letters of the following years are now in the publication process];

39 volumes of edited selected teachings of the Rebbe, which were also revised and modified by the Rebbe;

28 volumes of Chasidic discourses of the Rebbe;

9 volumes of Notes and Journal-Entries written by the Rebbe in 1928-1951;

And many more.
